Following concerns raised by citizens, town officials have reversed the decision to prohibit the use of golf carts on local roads. The initial restriction was implemented with safety in mind, but after listening to feedback from residents, the decision has been reconsidered.
Moving forward, both golf carts and ATVs will be allowed on town roads, excluding highways, as long as they are operated safely and do not generate complaints. Officials emphasized the importance of responsible driving to ensure the continued allowance of these vehicles.
Recognizing the small-town atmosphere and the benefits these modes of transportation provide to residents, town leadership expressed a desire not to deprive the community of their use. Citizens with concerns regarding golf carts, ATVs, or any other matters related to the police department are encouraged to contact town hall.
