LaSalle Parish highways get a cleanup boost during #LoveTheBoot Week

Sections of LA 127 in LaSalle Parish are looking noticeably cleaner thanks to the efforts of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) employees who participated in this year’s #LoveTheBoot Week.

The statewide initiative, organized to raise awareness about Louisiana’s litter problem and promote long-term prevention, brought together community members and state workers across various parishes. In LaSalle Parish, DOTD crews focused on clearing litter along LA 127, significantly improving the appearance of the roadway and surrounding areas.

#LoveTheBoot Week is part of a larger campaign that encourages civic pride and responsibility. Each spring, volunteers, municipalities, and state agencies join forces to tackle litter and promote cleaner, safer environments across Louisiana.

Local officials expressed their appreciation for the DOTD’s work in LaSalle Parish and encouraged residents to continue supporting litter prevention efforts year-round.
