The callers ask about debit card transactions and claim they need the customer’s PIN number or a one-time verification code to fix the issue.

Southern Heritage Bank reminds customers that it will never request PIN numbers or verification codes over the phone. Anyone who receives such a call should hang up immediately and contact their local branch to report it.
