Students entering grades 5 through 8 in Fall 2025 are invited to take center stage this summer through the #thrive Arts Beginner Theater Camp in Jena. Hosted at the Jena High School Auditorium, the camp will culminate in a live performance of the musical “Seussical Jr.” on Friday, June 13 at 6 p.m.

The camp will run weekdays from June 2–6 and June 9–12, from 2 to 5 p.m. Participants will also rehearse on June 13 starting at 11 a.m. leading up to the evening show. Tracy Joy will serve as instructor, with site coaches Holly Grant and Blake Joy supporting the production.

Enrollment is free, but space is limited, and students must attend all sessions. The camp is part of The Strand Village Project’s #thrive initiative and is supported in part by a Substance and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program Grant from The Rapides Foundation.

For more information, families are encouraged to reach out to the program organizers.
