The Jena Fire Department has grown far beyond just fighting fires. What started as a traditional fire unit now tackles a wide range of emergencies, thanks to its dedicated volunteers.

Today, the Jena FD handles everything from vehicle extrication and storm cleanup to water, rope, and multi-story rescues, plus hazmat operations. This expansion comes from their proactive training to meet community needs.

They’re always looking for new volunteers from all backgrounds, as their diverse services require diverse skills. The department hinted at even more exciting changes coming soon to further enhance their service.
