Career Day 2026 connects LaSalle Students with future opportunities

Students from across LaSalle Parish had the opportunity to explore future career paths during Career Day 2026, held at LaSalle High School.

The event, hosted in partnership with the LaSalle Parish School System, brought together high school juniors and seniors from both LaSalle High School and Jena High School. The day focused on helping students prepare for life after graduation by connecting them with professionals from a variety of fields.

Representatives from LaSalle General Hospital were among those in attendance, engaging with students and sharing insight into careers in the medical field. Professionals present included Jordan White, Director of Radiology; Haley Poole, Speech Therapy Assistant; Kelli Tant, Medicare Swing Bed Coordinator; and Amanda Jean Parker, Director of Therapies.

Throughout the event, students had the chance to ask questions, learn about career pathways, and gain valuable advice as they begin planning their futures.

Organizers expressed appreciation to the school system for the invitation and praised the students for their engagement and enthusiasm.

With strong participation and meaningful interactions, Career Day 2026 highlighted the bright future ahead for LaSalle Parish students.
