Blood drive June 25

The LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office is encouraging residents to roll up their sleeves and help save lives during an upcoming community blood drive scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Partnering with LifeShare Blood Center, the Sheriff’s Office will host the “Giving Is Groovy” blood drive aboard the LifeShare Blood Mobile, which will be stationed behind the LaSalle Parish Courthouse from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Organizers say the summer months are often a challenging time for blood banks as donations tend to decline while the need for blood remains constant. Every donation can make a significant difference for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatments, trauma care, and other medical emergencies.

As an added incentive, donors will receive a special edition “Giving Is Groovy” LifeShare T-shirt while supplies last.
Sheriff’s Office officials are encouraging community members to participate and help support local hospitals and patients throughout the region.

“Join us this Thursday and help save a life by donating blood,” the Sheriff’s Office stated in its announcement. Residents are also encouraged to share information about the event to help increase participation.
