LaSalle General Hospital’s Radiology Department recently visited Fellowship Elementary School through the MedStart Program, a partnership with Central Louisiana AHEC, to introduce students to careers in healthcare.

During the visit, Jordan White, BSRT (R), Radiology Director, and Alisha Trisler, MSRS, RT (R) met with eighth-grade students to share information about the field of radiology, explaining how medical imaging helps care for patients and highlighting career opportunities within the healthcare profession.

Students also participated in hands-on activities using real X-rays to learn how medical imaging is used to help diagnose injuries.

LaSalle General Hospital said it is proud to partner with local schools to encourage students to explore careers in healthcare and hopes to inspire the next generation of medical professionals in the community.
