LASALLE PARISH, La. — Hot September temperatures will continue across LaSalle Parish through the weekend, with highs reaching the mid-90s each day and chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and hot with a high near 96 degrees. Heat index values could reach as high as 102 degrees during the afternoon. A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop after 1 p.m. Winds will be calm before becoming easterly around 5 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 72.
Thursday will bring another mostly sunny and hot day with a high around 95 degrees. There will be a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 72.
Rain chances increase Friday, when showers will be possible during the day and thunderstorms could develop after 1 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 40%. Otherwise, conditions will remain mostly sunny and hot with a high near 95 degrees. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 73.
Saturday will feature a similar pattern, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 95 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Saturday night will turn mostly clear with a low around 73.
