LaSalle Parish 4-H will hold its Shooting Sports Registration and Informational Meeting Tuesday, Sept. 29, for both returning and new members interested in participating in the program.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Jena Community Center, located at the next right past Walmart.

LaSalle Parish 4-H officials are asking both previous participants and those interested in joining for the first time to attend. The meeting will provide the latest information concerning program rules, expectations and the structure of each shooting sports discipline.

The LaSalle Parish 4-H Shooting Sports program offers opportunities in archery, rifle and shotgun. In addition to developing skills within each discipline, the program emphasizes responsibility, leadership, teamwork and safety.

Organizers said attendance at Tuesday’s meeting is important to ensure families and participants receive current information before activities begin.
