LaSalle General Hospital highlights mammography team during breast cancer awareness month

LaSalle General Hospital is recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October by introducing its mammography team and encouraging women to schedule their mammograms.

The hospital’s mammography team includes Bethany Freeman, BSRT (R)(M); DeAnn Vickers, RT(R)(M); and Megan Bennett, RT(R)(M). The three mammographers provide care to patients undergoing breast imaging at LaSalle General Hospital.

As part of the hospital’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities, patients who have a mammogram performed at LaSalle General Hospital during October will receive a free gift.

Patients who already have an order for a mammogram may schedule an appointment by calling 318-992-9200, Ext. 2166.

Those who do not yet have an order but have an upcoming appointment with a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant can ask their provider to schedule the test or request an order and contact the hospital directly.

LaSalle General Hospital is emphasizing the importance of early detection throughout October under the message, “Early Detection. Compassionate Care. Stronger Together.”
