According to the sheriff’s office, the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office Firing Range, located at 128 Rifle Range Road, closed on Friday, June 5, 2026, and will remain closed until further notice.

Officials did not provide a reason for the closure but stated that the public will be notified when a reopening date has been established.

The firing range is a resource used by local residents for firearms practice and training and is located north of Jena within LaSalle Parish.
