Adult learners in LaSalle Parish looking to gain new skills, earn industry-recognized credentials, or begin a new career path will soon have an opportunity to apply for financial assistance through Louisiana’s M.J. Foster Promise Program.
According to information shared by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) and promoted by Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) in Jena, applications for the 2026-2027 M.J. Foster Promise Program will officially open on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The program is designed to help Louisiana residents pursue education and workforce training in fields that are experiencing high demand across the state. Eligible participants can receive financial support to earn credentials that lead directly to employment opportunities in growing industries.
Beginning July 1, new applicants must be at least 21 years old to qualify for the program. Officials note that students under age 21 who have previously received M.J. Foster Promise funding will remain eligible as long as they continue to meet all program requirements.
